Red shoes kid (Jeff Bliss)
^ This interviewed showed more of what happened. It shows the side of Jeff's side of the story and why he got up and started ranting.
First all he didn't know we was being recorded it was only 1 minute and 27 seconds long. The teacher was put on paid leave when under this investigation. This interview is very encouraging to students to speak out and realize what they are there to learn. The superintendent is supporting what Jeff Bliss says, "This is our education our future." His mother is a teacher and watched the video several times to listen to his message and found it hard to believe this is her son speaking. Jeff wants to make a positive change and feels like students feel the same way he does. The reason why he got out of his seat because the teacher was cursing at him and he said there is no need for that. That is why he got up and started his rant. 10 minutes later the teacher walked out with Jeff and talked to him in the Principal's office. Jeff feels that the teacher only went out to talk to him about the situation but feels she did it just to keep her job. He does not want her to lose her job but to realize you get what you give.
I thought is rant was awesome, well said, well expressed, and to the point. He had no idea that he was being recorded, he did this for every ones education. His mother is a teacher and I found that very fascinating. And she even had chills in the interview while listening to her son speak. I think this is so popular and why it did go virle is because its the truth and kids and relate to this, a teacher handing out a packet and is told the read the packet and answer the questions. That shit is boring and way too easy and wastes every one's time. I wished that I could have stood up like that in class but I never knew another way of being taught. Luckily my step father is a teacher and taught me not only to read but to add my input to the book and to think about what the writer is really saying. I learned more from my step father than in a classroom.
